EU grants for business processes informatization in Croatian small and medium-sized companies


The ministry of Entrepreneurship and Crafts continues to receive applications for the call The application of information and communication technologies (ICT) to improve business processes. Even though many Croatian entrepreneurs have recognized those grants as an opportunity to reduce the financial burden of a digitalization and modernization of their businesses, a large amount of available funds are still waiting for well-prepared projects.

This call refers to grants given from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) which aims to encourage productivity, reduce production costs, increase revenues from sales and exports, preserve existing and/or create new jobs. Grants are intended for micro, small and medium companies who would like to invest in information and communication technologies in order to improve their business processes, encourage the growth and development of their enterprises and increase competitiveness at the market as well as to increase country's competitiveness at the international markets.

Grants can be used for the development of business information systems, such as document management systems (DMS), business process management (BPM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and other. Eligible costs are activities such as the analysis of existing business processes, preparation of an informatization plan, software development including programming, installation and configuration, computers and other equipment, training for users to teach them how to use these new systems, and the cost of external experts.

There is still a plenty of time for preparing applications because the deadline is June 30, 2015.
