As part of the month of information technology at RIT Croatia the CEO of Evolva Matija Tomašković accepted the invitation from their professors to be a guest speaker. At the lecture which was held on November 2nd 2015, Matija has demonstrated, through the presentation of Evolva's technology named Evolution Framework, a development environment and tools for the efficient development of enterprise web applications, especially mentioning the way Evolva's experts perform monitoring and continuous performance improvements of large web-based information systems.

The lecture was attended by students of 3rd and 4th year of information technology studies and also some younger colleagues from Zagreb, while students in Dubrovnik joined through video link. After the lecture, some students showed extra interest and asked Matija questions about monitoring, data security and performance impromevent of web-based systems, and they also found out more about technologies and specific knowledge needed for modern development of business web applications.

RIT Croatia was founded in 1997 in Dubrovnik, as a result of the collaboration between the American University of Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) and Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. Today, the program offers undergraduate professional studies of which Information Technology is held at two locations in Zagreb and Dubrovnik. As a subsidiary of the respected American university, RIT Croatia is the only higher education institution in Croatia where classes are entirely performed in English, the program and curriculum are consistent with the high standards of the parent university, and along the Croatian diploma students get the internationally recognized American diploma.

This guest lecture given by Matija Tomašković was an excellent opportunity for the students to hear directly from of the author of Evolution Framework more about this award-winning technology, especially the advanced tools that Evolva uses to develop demanding web applications and monitor their performance. Students of this high school were introduced with the possibility to do an internship in Evolva through which they can join theoretical knowledge and practical usage together, which was the purpose of this gathering as well.
