Trainee ERP as part of the EU project presented in Split


At the conference which was held on Friday, January 29th, 2016, in the hall of Split-Dalmatia County, the mayor Zlatko Ževrnja and Head of social services Tomislav Đonlić presented two large EU projects involving two high schools from Split. As part of one of these projects, the company Evolva is developing an educational software Trainee ERP that will enable students to acquire the theoretical knowledge in a simulated business environment.

The conference was attended by principals of high schools from Varaždin, Slavonski Brod and Split, Head of the Department of education, culture and sports of the Varaždin County Miroslav Huđek and Head of the Evolva development team Branislav Stambolija. Katica Kalogjera Novak, The principal of Gospodarska škola Varaždin, presented the project The interdisciplinary curriculum of secondary vocational schools which is conducted in the partnership with the School of design, graphic arts and sustainable construction Split, High School M. A. Reljković from Slavonski Brod and Croatian software company Evolva. The project is financed through EU funds from the grant "Modernisation of school curriculums in vocational schools according to Croatian qualification framework" under the Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2007-2014 funded by European Social Fund (ESF) .

The project will introduce modern teaching methods and the important part of the project is Trainee ERP that will be used in the program Training firm and e-commerce for mastering vocational knowledge and entrepreneurial skills. The system is being developed by Croatian IT company Evolva whose rich experience in the field of business process informatization contributed to the modernization of programme Training firm according to real business practice. The system uses information nad communication technology to bring benefits to teachers, students, schools and Croatian educational system and economy in general, thus achieving goals that the Agency for Vocational Education and Training prescribed for Training firm programme in Croatia.

The development of this web-based educational software began in May 2015 and schools will start using it in the coming months. The finished software for Training firm will be presented at the Training Firms Fair 2016 in Croatia where all high schools are invited to get acquainted with the project results.
